I spend most of the day in front of the PC. So i was wondering if is possible to test the LUA scrips using an emulator rather than the real hardware (it is a lot faster)

I tried the following combination:
- Dualis 20
- DSLua.nds (v0.4)
- the LUA tests included with (v0.4)

The emulator runs the nds fine, but when i try to navigate the hard disk (FAT32) i get either [a] no files or some random directory. I tried to copy the DSLua.nds to the directory where the scripts are but got same result.

Any idea or method of how to test/develope in the PC?

You need to execute the PACK.BAT in order to get the scripts + DSLua.nds in the same rom. After it, you can open with dualis the bundle\DSLUA-PACK.nds file and that's all.

The files that pack are all that you put on scripts folder.

Yep, Zhen is correct.  Put all your scripts/data files into the scripts directory, and then run PACK.BAT.  This will create something like DSLUA-PACK.NDS (and some others).  You can run DSLua-Pack.NDS in Dualis.  That is the way I do it as well.  Much easier/faster than putting stuff on the CF everytime.  Wink

Oh yeah, on Windows, I changed my .NDS association to Dualis, so you can just double click on the .NDS file to run it.  You can also add the line "START DSLUA-PACK.NDS" to the end of PACK.BAT to run it automatically after running the batch file.

I have also found an alternative way: If you have the DSLua.nds file in the SAME directory as the LUA code, it works without having to use the pack.bat
