For connecting locally for most routers you put 192.168.1.* where * is the number that the computer uses. Or use an actual IP address to connect to anywhere worldwide.

Yes, but you forgot -- you DO need a special client to be run upon that IP. Here's a download-link:

http://daltonlaffs.bravehost.com/tcptesttool.zip

And how to use:

1. Unzip and run setup.exe.

2. Follow the prompts and install.

3. Run the installed TCP TEST TOOL.

4. Press OK on the splash screen.

5. Change '12345' in the textbox on the RIGHT side to 80.

6. Hit 'Bind' on the RIGHT! side!

7. Go ahead and send to the IP shown above the bind button, on port 80.

8. The Recv function of DSLua waits for the server to send back a reply. So type into the text-thing on the right side where the DS stuff showed up, and hit Send to send it to the DS.

9. Wait for someone to make a more friendly app  Grin

ok thanks when would someone be able to make an easier app? so that maybe you just start the app and it takes you to a lobby and then you would be able to play anyone worldwide who is viewing the same app.

But for now i guess that will work! how could i make wins and losses recorded for a wifi match on a fighting game?

Lastly the new version of dswifi for devkitpro is out maybe Wifi can be even better in dslua  0.7

When will a new one be made -- NO CLUE. It's beyond me how THIS one works...  Tongue

Wins and losses - You could make the DS send their score to the computer, but for now, you'd have to manually reply. I hate it too  Wink

And as fer the new version... YAY.
