K, i've started this now and here is what it will contain so far:
A window
Multiple document interface
Toolbar, menu and possibly status bar if i find any use for it..
A dslua icon
Save & open from toolbar and menu
Create new documents from toolbar and menu
Code chooser (choose a function from a list and the program generates it for you) in the menu (and maby toolbar to)
Reziseable windows
Multiple undo and redo (only like 5 untill i figure out a better algo lol)
Cut,copy and paste from menu and toolbar (and rightclick ofcourse)
Select all (select all content in active form) from the menu/toolbar
Hide and show toolbar (and status bar if any)
Syntax highlightning
Possibly a function/datatype/instructor/operator/whatever adder for the choose code (only single words, like jump_when_touched or sayHello, you get the picture, stuff that wont be a pain in the ass to regex)
Help button in menu and toolbar that links to DSLua documentation index (will probably put the documentation in a folder for accessing while not connected to internets, if that is okay with jeremy)
Child window arranging
About in the menu wich tells version and creators and gives some fair credits
Teh awesome exit button in menu
Maximize/minimize and close buttons in top bar
Build menu with Build, Run Dualis, Run in dualis and maby Build and run in Dualis (Dualis will be standard, possibly gona change this later. Also i think i'm gona make it customizeable)
Hit me up with some good ideas to make it really good.

Thanks.
I'll start working on it alot now. Also, if you get some free time would you mind help me a litle with the documentation? Like writing down some functions with the arguments and explain them short?
Also do you think i could include Dualis in the SDK like HAM does with VBA?

Yeah better ask him.
Hopefully this will bring lots of new coders to DSLua! (Make sure to post it around some forums once it's ready!)

This is a great idea. I am now in college and don't have much time for the hardcore development and DSLua seems like the perfect alternative. I would love to have everything in a single package. I am really busy right now, but learning DSLua and writing a game with it is definetly on my to do list.

Well.. The documentation is going forward, also the coding. I havn't really got anything special to show yet and i don't have any demo for it and i don't think i'll release any demo either.. You'll just have to wait untill the shell is done.
Also if it's okay with you jeremysr, i'll use some of the code from your tutorials for the documentation?

Ye it would be cool if you could write some about the functions in DSLua like the name, how it's used and an example (some technical info to e.g. if it returns anything and what it returns and what type arguments in functions are). You don't have to do much and you can use stuff from your tutorials to fill it out. I'll do some documentation later to (probably on LUA itself to). But for now i have to do the design for the documentation and the program itself.

Okay, now i have started to work on this again, this time coding it in VB (and i wont change again).
Atm i'm planning to include this:
Multiple document interface
Toolbar, menu and possibly status bar if i find any use for it..
A dslua icon
Save & open from toolbar and menu
Create new documents from toolbar and menu
Code chooser (choose a function from a list and the program generates it for you) in the menu (and maby toolbar to)
Reziseable windows
Code highlightning
Multiple undo and redo (only 5 untill i figure out a better algo lol)
Cut,copy and pase from menu (and rightclick ofcourse)
Select all (select all content in active form) from the menu
That is the complete list of what i'm planing to do with this program ever. Ofcourse, it only took me a couple of minutes to come up with since it's some standard shizz.. So if you have any ideas just tell and i'll add them to the list. Srsly, gime some good ideas.
