Title: DSLua -- Shouldn't it be called...
Post by: daltonlaffs on March 31, 2007, 03:58:27 PM
Hey guys,

I just found out that Lua is actually Portugese for 'Moon', and is pronounced LOO-ay. So... doesn't that mean that DSLua should be called DSMoon?

Other than that:

1) A suggestion: If we add a function for firmware modification, make SURE that you can't write to ANY part of the firmware without shorting SL1. That should stop another bricker from appearing.

2) We should quickly put DSLua/DSMoon under GNU, before somebody decides to steal it.

3) We should make it possible to change Wifi settings from DSLua/DSMoon. I'm not sure if WifiLib has this support yet, but I have been homebrew with a 'WFC settings' button.

lol, nuh bah!? Since the logo is a moon it's kind of obvious what lua means.... ::)

And since the language is named lua why not name the language after it?? Why hustle and name it DSMoon? I have no clue how you came up with that idea, really. Let's just not rename it.

Also, ye, GNU it rite away.

We already used the MIT Liscence ( http://code.google.com/p/dslua/ )

Please, keep the name DSLua, if only to remain in line with PSPLua and other *Lua naming schemes.

Have some respect for the language.
