Title: Sprite / Background Viewer Post by: jester on February 05, 2007, 07:49:16 AM I viewer so that you could see your sprites/baclgrounds and what they would look like on a ds before making it an NDS and stuff would be very cool! and a help for many DSLua developers an emulator is good but it isnt supporting full screen so some graphics are harder to see.

And emulators are the same size as DS screens unless you have an enlarger (which none have yet). So they are just as hard to see as the DS ;) Title: Re: Sprite / Background Viewer Post by: jester on February 05, 2007, 09:45:59 AM excellent when can we expect a beta or something it sems like an exciting task!

Didn't take long at all to finish this one. Just copy these files into... whatever you run scripts with and run spritecheck.lua. Credits: Nintendo -- For making it possible to crack their console's security to homebrew on Jeremysr -- For making the keyboard part of the console Jester -- For the idea Me -- For making and testing it On the screen where you type in your sprite's name, TYPE THE NAME WITHOUT AN EXTENSION. Both your .raw and .pal files must have the same basename. Type that. After the sprite is loaded, here are the controls: D-Pad: Move sprite L/R: Up/Down the Framestrip Enjoy, Daltonlaffs P.S. You can't exit it yet... I'll fix that sometime :P EDIT1: Just to get it out of the way: I DO NOT TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO ANY DAMAGE CAUSED BY THIS PROGRAM OR ITS ACTIONS. Use it at your own risk. This program is not licensed, endorsed, or approved by Nintendo. I have tested this program on NO$GBA and hardware, it runs fine for me, I can't imagine it would hurt your console. Can't hurt to be safe, though :P Title: Re: Sprite / Background Viewer Post by: jester on February 05, 2007, 10:17:12 AM i was expecting an .exe sort of thing though
Title: Re: Sprite / Background Viewer Post by: daltonlaffs on February 05, 2007, 12:33:27 PM Ah. Well, it's probably possible, but I don't know the encoding of GBFS... any other takers? ;D
