I recently finished a tutorial the 10 lesson one by the guy whos' name I can't pronounce. I finished it but I still can't get the hang of it. I thought if I read through some code of games programmed in DSLua it might help but all I found was that there was alot of stuff not in the tutorial. For some reason there was n infornt of alot of stuff and I don't know why. like it whould say nMoveTo() or something along the same line.

  Can someone help? Mabey just post the code of a simple game that you made so I can look through it to try and better understand. This is my first step into programming so I am sorry if I don't realy know alot but I am trying.

nMoveTo() would be a function someone made.

Is this the tutorial you used? http://www.bio-gaming.com/jeremy/dslua/index.php?act=tutorials

Thats what I used, and I know pretty much the basics now, also, you may want to go to lua.org and check out other lua based scripts.

Also, a lot of functions used in the game, may have come from this page http://www.bio-gaming.com/jeremy/dslua/downloads/functions.inc.lua
You will find a lot of helpfull functions in there, The top, tells you waht they do, then you can look down below and see how they were made.

Yes that is the tutorial I used. I was trying to look at theexamples that came with DSLua and almost everything had an n infront of it I just didin't get it. Thanks for the help.

What text editor are you using? Nothing in those should have an n in front of it that I can recall.

You could try looking at my Hangman game. It's kind of simple, compared to a lot of other DSLua games.

Also if you want I can help you on MSN or something. Smiley
