What I need to begin (I have a only a DS Lite)

here Alex from Italy.

Today I discover this awesome site, and I read that I can make my little game with LUA!!
but, I have some question:

Now, at my home I have only one Nintendo DS Lite (buyed 1 month ago)
What else I need to try my little program on a real DS, or I can use only one emulator?

Hi!

What you'll need to run DSLua and other homebrew is a device to plug into your DS that you can put your programs on. Since there are way too many choices of what to get, I will link you to a good article on DSlinux about running homebrew -> http://www.dslinux.org/wiki/Running_Homebrew

Here is a compatability chart for DSLua 0.6 but when we release DSLua 0.7 it should work with almost anything!

Hey alex,

First of all, I wouldn't recommend using a card that hasn't been tested for DSLua.
Second of all, if you still want the R4, it seems like a great card, but it DOES NOT stand alone. You also need to buy a MicroSD card.

I have no idea if it will work on the R4, but I'm pretty sure it will work in DSLua 0.7 ( see this page, this is what we'll be using: http://chishm.drunkencoders.com/DLDI/ )
